Listen, and hear the laughter of the crows
Their song a raucous chorus in the trees
Drunk on honeydew left behind by bees
Listen, and hear the laughter of the crows
at hapless souls living beneath the trees
Alas! I think it might be you or me’s
Listen, and hear the laughter of the crows
Their song a raucous chorus in the trees

You’ve got the form right. Great job, Melissa. I I hope to see more from you. I’m feeling a little guilty, like I should have asked you first whether I could post a challenge. After all, it’s your blog.

Odd coincidence. I hear the very distinct laughing of a crow. I think “The Laughter of Crows” would be a good title for something…is it taken? So I look on Google. The closest thing I find is a piece of visual art and your poem. I notice your name. I created a character in a game with a name very similar to your name “Melissa Hazzard” I think, what a coincidence or did I pick that up subconsciously from somewhere? Who knows.

That is amazing!
I love it when the universe gives us nudges like that.
I also have to tell you that ravens and crows have been on my mind a LOT lately and I don’t know why, but I think it’s all tied together, hm?
