SATURDAY AT TIMZAUTO
Soothing quiet in the house alone
A bird in the window, sounds of atone
Television on not much to see
Up and about I sit under a tree
Reading Birds post of birthday present
Dandelions matured without any scent
Another day going exciting or bored
Yes we’re alive , thanks to the lord
Remember …Please like , comment and share , let’s get the word out …Thanks Timzauto

Ok, I put this one up over on my blog just now!
Judging at the Lambs Down Festival, Carleton Place, Ontario
Dressed for this morning’s cool weather
by noon I was feeling the heat
at the annual sheep-shearing festival
here in town, just down the street.
There were sheepdogs herding the bleaters
and big dogs just out for a stroll.
We held a youth art competition
with everything under control.
There were prizes for all of the kiddies
and lamb burgers, waffles and fries.
There were buyers and sellers and two fortune tellers
and a big fella selling pink ties.

doing so wil l surely bring us cash for more BLING

Saturday
Sleepover leftovers
washing syrup and bacon grease and utensils
egg shells down the disposal
down the drain
down
Driving here and there and back for
Art fairs and dance recitals and coffee
and Father’s Day cards
(don’t forget the coffee)
driving away and
driving home
driving
me
Eating out with friends
and strangers
and we are all eating
salad mostly
mostly
eating
mostly
driving
down the drain
with the egg shells
with the syrup
with
me
Sleeping over
again and again
sleeping bags
splayed about
about sleeping
and driving
home is here
is sleeping
again

Saturday, too busy
a speed I can’t keep up to.
Thoughts flashing through my mind,
the ground trembling below me.
Time, escaping
through my fingers like sand.
Voices fighting for attention,
becoming louder around me.
My eyes, becoming heavy,
no longer able to stay open.
Seeking peaceful refuge of sleep,
floating into a dreamlike state.
Drifting in and out
eyes trying to focus on daylight.
Sounds coming from the distance,
softly then louder, birds, the purr of my cat.
A new day, time to start over
refreshed, renewed, new strength.
Sunday, a day of thanks.
For all blessings bestowed on all.

Most Saturdays we are alone
Out tasks we get to choose
The hectic pace that once was ours
For now we get to muse
To think of days long gone by
When children needed care
Now they’re raised and on their own
To do nothing…this we dare
