I love the fact that there’s such diversity here…of lives and beliefs, etc. I think it’s wonderful to have a place to come where the community is made up of people who don’t all think and believe alike. We have our artistic outlets in common for one thing…the fact that we write poetry or prose, or take photographs, as well as the fact that we’re all walking through this life together and are connected.
It seems that in the 3D world, that doesn’t happen as often. People tend to be sifted into cliques…whether they’re based on politics or religion, or cultures. But here, we can find some common ground and merge together and become real, true friends who care about each other.
I have noticed that sometimes I’ll say something in a post, or a poem, and then after posting it I’ll notice it seems to be argumentative with someone else on some point. I never mean to step on anyone. More than once, that has happened without me seeing the other post until after I posted my own. I assume that the opposite happens sometimes too. I’ve seen things that seem to argue with something I’ve said, but they’re often probably coming from the same place, and the same lack of awareness even of my posted thoughts/beliefs.
I love though, that we are safe here to honestly speak what we think/believe, without fear of condemnation or censoring. And I’m thankful for all of you here…truly.
Blessings,
Anne

Anne, I can’t imagine that you think you might have said something that would offend or argue with another. You are just so sweet. Thank you for posting this about how we are all different, yet we can come to 20 Lines and merge because of our artistic goals. I always look forward to your posts and comments.

Thank you Maggie! What a sweet thing to say, and ditto to you, my dear! I’ve posted things at least a couple of times though, then looked below to find something someone else had posted with seemingly opposing views in some way or another. So I guess that could be construed as me posting something contrary, rather than commenting, even. Ha ha…did that make sense? :) Thank you so much for your kind words though. They mean the world to me. ♥

So glad to know you through 20 Lines, Anne. You add so much to the community.

Thank you Maggie. I have to say, I honestly always light up when I see your posts, myself. :) Perhaps we’re kindred spirits…music, grandbabies…and poetry…to name a few things anyway. :)

Kindred spirits, yes. That resonates with me. And don’t forget God. He is the center of my life, too.

Amen, my sister. :)

I think Maggie is so right , Your voice on 20 lines or less is not only spectacular in meaning , but a corner stone we all have come to read daily and enjoy. Your posts are all so natural and true to heart , they bring with them old time values and sense that have been lost in this new time . I continue to enjoy your post and hope to do so for some time to come …. :) blessings to you Anne Tim

Wow…thank you so much Tim. That means a great deal to me. I feel much the same toward you…your honesty in your life and your struggles and your faith, as well as your humor and talent and enthusiasm for the writing. So glad to ‘know’ you! Blessings to you too! ♥

We’re over here showcasing the true language of art. And that is what matters. It is just so thoughtful of you for posting this and discussing one attribute i.e. the difference in opinion which doesn’t change anything. We are here, loving each other, embracing each other and most importantly, accepting each other despite of the geographical, cultural and social boundaries. We are doing something really good if you think about it.
Love,
HA

Very true…if only it could be done more often in our daily relationships aside from the internet. (sigh) But that’s one of the things I love about the internet in general too. It has its bad aspects, but it’s wonderful to be able to touch people from all across the globe and really get to know people like never possible before. I still remember the days with no internet…and no computers other than the big mainframes that the government or big companies had. :)
