Mother

Blanket for the cold,
level for the anxious,
ocean for the thirsty,
Thanksgiving for the hungry.

Family for the lonely,
joy for the downtrodden,
medicine for the ill,
treasure for the poor,

a song for the sad,
so much for so many.
I watched as she gave,
this teacher supreme.
