The plaque is on my office wall; meant as a sign of humor. I do try to maintain a very positive, mentoring attitude at work, but I bet you there are times where I contribute to the negative swirl of daily ‘what will go wrong next?’ energy. I try to remind myself of my impact upon others, and their impact upon me. Powerful forces for good or not so good.

Oh, this is funny – I like your use of humour but you know it IS true …we do tend to fulfill our own prophecies and negativity will only draw in those who seek it and open up their own. Stay positive! You have so many gifts.

People divide quite neatly into drains and radiators. Drains drain and you should spend as little time with them as possible. Radiators, on the other hand, lift you.
Of course it is possible to be both at the same time….

Yes, that is a good way to put it. At points in my life, I was so repetitively negative, toxic, that friends turned away…some for good. It is, regardless of past wrongs, slights, hurts, bad turns, a waste of health, life, healing, positive growth and a drain on anyone around that wants to care about you. I missed so much when I was turned inward and I am sure burned out a whole bunch of good people. Thanks!
