We are planning another visit
We will sleep this time, in a tent
Yes our dog will be inside there with us
She loves our camping trips too.
Winter will be here soon.
The leaves have begun to change .
With less light each day, they will lose their green color
and their grip on the limbs.
So it is time for us to go say goodbye to the stream
that has given up her gold flakes to us all summer
and to see our friends before the north country is covered in
ice and snow. You know I hate it so.
This trip though, we will spend the day in the river, brrrr
and evenings we will have a beautiful fire
and share meals with our friends.
Looking to stay on my plan, even when I am away from home.
Today there was another 2.4 pounds gone. It is not so much
really hard work for me, as it is adding activity that doesn’t
cause a lot of pain. I find it easy to take a walk with the pup so
I see her and I going for a walk and many photos being taken by me.
I know the men will want steak or burgers, these two LOVE BURGERS
and will use lots of energy collecting Gold from the bottom of the
stream bed but I am thinking out of the box for me. Do any of you
camp out in a tent and cook on the fire? Any good meal ideas?
There will be a day I do not post but I will before and you know after
I will have lots of weird things to share with you all.
I will have endless days of catching up on what has been happening with
YOU.
So for now, I will be busy packing , just the right things and making sure he doesn’t forget a thing .
So if you have any ideas for meals over a fire can you get them to me here or
Peace
Eunice

Have a great time Eunice. I’ve never been camping, and the only thing I’ve ever grilled is potatoes and garlic, maybe a few veggies wrapped in foil! Great with the weight loss. Keep at it – you’re doing so well! :D

Thanks Cathy I am trying :) With house painting a lot of up and down ladders. Yoga I swear has helped the most. It has given a way to heal me from the inside so I can deal with the pain when I do too much. Our pup was out of commission after our 3 hours on the beach 2 weeks ago :( I need to pace myself but you are right I am doing it I will take a tape measure today and get new amounts to see with my own eyes the difference on paper lol. I had always been 135 to 165(truckers have muscles lol) and just over a year ago I almost had the scale to 300(these are US pounds) During the last year + I have lost 65 for sure but also 10 lb loss gain loss gain lol when I could work I mean really work this never would have happened I worked like a man for 14 to 18 hours 6 to 7 days a week so now with making glass objects, beading, painting, BLOGGING, metalworking and walking it is just such a different world. I am looking forward to Fall here in New England and for me staying in a good place(with in my head) I will see the other 100 lbs start to leave as well. Too look at me yes you see weight gain but no one sees what is actually on the scale lol My boyfriend sees me the other night with a real baggy shirt on after I was done painting and threw it on after my shower to scrub paint off(I am pretty messy lol) he says “why are you wearing that?” Guess he is liking seeing the old me coming back as well. He is good for me lol but will he like the OLD me like he did when I was 18 lol we were apart for 30 years and found each other again I am not sure I want all that ATTENTION I got then when I am now 56 :)
I thought the same thing for over the fire. Packets of yummy garden veggies roasted. Lots of beans for protein I will have yogurt and Cottage Cheese on ice and I will hard boil some eggs for my snacks. Lots of fruit too I will even grill some I think and they can have their thick burgers(beef) and maybe I will do ground turkey ones no bun on top of greens who knows maybe they will droll over my Friday and Saturday night meals. :) Thanks for your support as always

:D When I did the garlic and potatoes, all the meat-eaters were looking at our stuff and were really ENVIOUS! We had enough to share though! LOL!

Yes I will make plenty to cook over the fire and while they have their meat I will share a large slotted spoon with each of the men they will need their carbs in that cold river water :)
