I am a retired language arts teacher from Michigan who has published a book of poems. I write poetry in the classic forms. My reading interests are non-fiction, especially in the areas of medicine and spirituality. I am a pianist, and also enjoy word puzzles and games.

Hi, Melissa. I liked your Haiku. I’m a retired teacher too and have recently self-published my second children’s book on Amazon. Here’s the link, if you’d care to to take a look: http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Matilda-Monarchs-Bette-Stevens/dp/1470187663/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1341698525&sr=1-2&keywords=Monarch+butterflies
I’ve also started a blog recently: http:// http://www.4writersandreaders.wordpress.com/ and I love to write poetry, too. Haiku is one of my favorite form. Nice meeting you. Bette
