London. The greatest city on Earth.
Where the great and the good come to prove their worth.
Jump on the train to the wrong side of the river.
The forgotten London! Rich men quiver.
Central locking goes on when they get stuck in traffic
The sad thing is it’s necessary. How tragic.
They can drive on but for us this is life.
We’ll live here as long as inequality is rife.
Politicians ignore us, but we are the numerous!
There is no way to make this humorous.
But yet here you’ll find the broadest smiles in town
The best food too, never served with a frown
Just make sure you’re back in suburbia by night fall.
Don’t get out your iPhone if you value it at all.
Here you can see all of life’s rich tapestry!
The best and the worst, the joy and the tragedy.
Every now and then, one of us does well
We’re called a working class hero, hasn’t she done swell.
Get to university and see what we’ve been missing.
This is a joke. The wealth disparities in this city need to be addressed. No more rhymes.
