Do we set our hopes
our dreams,
upon the shoulders
of  people who
have never known
our pain, our loss
our struggles.

Or do we hope that
those who have
felt our pain
our loss, and our struggles
will remember them
and work for us?

Will the future
show our naivety
or our integrity?
Look at the youth
It is their tomorrow.
Let us not forget
what we have learned.
