As an illustrator I painted many butterflies and my attachment to them is deep. Butterflies represent transformation, which is something that occurred in my life. I also view them as a beautiful metaphor for grief and death. I have mentioned butterflies in song lyrics for this reason. Below are more illustrations of butterflies and a few close-ups.

I also want to share an illustration of a honeybee.

Thank you so much for you comment, Melissa. I have very much enjoyed being a contributor on Twenty Lines. It is funny though, how I get a lot of views for the Snicker’s Bar. It’s just something about chocolate – and that was far less colorful to illustrate than butterflies! But my art career is more behind me these days and I’m eager to consider myself a writer and musician now. I love sharing what I’ve done in the past, because it reminds me of my own transformation!
