Colgate advertising campaign

Colgate has created a very ingenious advertising campaign to promote their dental floss and promote cleaner teeth, but before I explain to you the main detail of these images, I will let you appreciate them quietly.

Alright, now that you had time to quietly observe the images, did you not see the deliberate mistakes.

In the first one you will now notice that she has one finger too many in her hand, in the second one a phantom arm is floating there, and in the third one the man has only one ear…

The campaign attained its purpose, because it proved that food remains on your teeth draw more attention than any physical defect.

  1. Oh! Well, I won’t deny- I just noticed the teeth of these people in all the three photographs, but because we were talking about a toothpaste brand. So I quite disagree.. If it won’t have been told that these images have been produced by Colgate, one can only feel that one would have noticed other distortions in these photographs as well.
But still I agree it is really ingenious.

  2. Thats what nearly everyone on my site noticed the food on the teeth, thats what fools the mind.

  3. I did notice the finger and the hand (in addition to the food particle)… but not the missing ear. This is interesting though…makes me more self-conscious. Now my friends who brush their teeth anytime anything but water enter their mouths have a case.

Write. Talk. Tell me everything.
