Today I sit and watch the rain
When will we see the sun again?
Down comes the water – down it pours
I think I shall have to stay indoors.
Part of me wants to puddle-jump
Instead I sit and slowly slump
For the rain makes my hair curl and frizz
So indoors I stay, indoors it is!

I write poetry as a hobby and am particularly interested in the use of rhyme and rhythm. I have had a few poems published and belong to a local poetry group - which makes me feel very proud. I get ideas for poems from lots of things but am mostly inspired by a child's imagination - especially Charlie, Ollie and Tilly. I hope you enjoy my poems too - please do leave comments as all feedback will help me to improve my writing.
