“Beach Art” By JT

100_4424

I know you have probably seen the shells that sit along the high tide mark but do you know about Border Collie Art?

She is so well-bred that she leaves an amazing piece of artwork, all along the beach,  as we make or way onto it

for a game of Frisbee.

Can you see her moves up above?

On and on she goes

Round and Round

Catching it

Dropping it at my feet and heading back out for another loop to get ready to catch it again.

I know some of you may tire of my talk about this pup but she really is what keeps us smiling day in and day out pain and all.

She is a beautiful artist,  well at least in our eyes.

Other dogs just come to PLAY she seems to have a method to her madness as do I.

Her daddy is hunting for treasure in this B&W  photo also showing her design all along the sea.

After My Son Was Gone

Reblogged from Living and Lovin:

After I had my son there was no reason for me to stay in the hospital.  He was healthy and beautiful and nurses,  bless them,  kept bringing him in only to say OOPS, sorry, do you want to hold him?  I asked the doctor if I could get discharged,  he understood and said it would be OK,  good thing as I was going anyway.

SPRAY

100_1392

Spray

Not all days have waves such as this

Some days the are just sweet and lazy

It is days such as this though that bring me such bliss

The sky was such a beautiful Blue without a sign of being hazy.

I love the spray as it dances above the waves as if to hold still till I capture it

It seems to add to the beauty of this photo with all the froth of this crashing wave

It is here upon the hill I sit and wait till just the perfect moment click

Though I now know  it is really the peace I find at this special place full of powerful waves I simply crave.

Can we ever ‘be’ again? (Reposted from ramblingsfromamum)

When can we be children again and giggle and laugh at silly things?

When can we be children again and play hide and seek in the dark?

When can we be children again and play on the slide and the tyre swings?

When can we be children again and skip a huge rope in the park?

When can we be children again and hop in and out of a puddle?

When can we be children again to run and laugh when we play?

When can we be children again and just want a friend to cuddle?

When can we be children again and race all our friends in a relay?

So when can we do these things without being stared at or pointed to?

Whenever we want is my answer, there’s no need to analyse or think it through

To bring out that fun and enthusiasm like a child that is hidden in our heart

We can be the child if we choose once again and that’s the amazing part

If you hear good music that fills you with joy then do a little dance – doesn’t matter where you are.

Laugh out loud if you want to. Swing and slide down that slide without a care. Skip rope and jump in puddles. Giggle and play hide and seek. Do what brings you joy and not what you think you have to do, for there’s no fun in that.

And if people stare and point and think you’re a little crazy, well maybe it’s just because the child that is hidden in them can’t return.

Song of Love

Sing the song of love with me-

The song which you know by heart

but have hidden within the valleys of your heart,

let it come to you, let it guide you.

Sing the song of love-

The song that will end all this pain.

Let’s sing it together,

let us all sing it together

so as to engrave it in all our hearts.

Sing the song of love with me,

for it will bring the joy, the beauty in our souls.

Sing it with me- the song of love.

To Return to Me

little girl with your dotted bonnet
won’t you
tell me the secret
you hide in your smile…
the thoughts that
surround your silent laughter…
and the dreams that
fuel your desire for life -
to devour every second…
to live…to love…to be free…
tell me…won’t you?…
no, won’t you show me instead?…
let me share your secrets…
let me drown in your thoughts…
let me embrace your dreams – as my own…
and maybe then
i might be able to weave
dreams of my own…and
see life like you do…like i used to -
with hope…and color…and sunshine -
like a child…

A Psalm of Joy

Today’s poem was inspired by a prompt from Writing the Sacred: A Palm Inspired Path To Appreciating and Writing Sacred Poetry by Ray McGinnis.

Divine parent-mother and father, human and divine,

I give you thanks with my entire being;

before the sun, moon and stars I declare your praise.

You pull the orphan close feeding her with the eternal milk of your unconditional love.

When I was invisible you saw me in my distress;

even when others refused to look upon me.

Your grace and mercy follow me all of my days,

like twin companions  flanking me on each side during this sojourn we call life.

Who can quantify your ways or figure  out your favor?

With joy I will share my testimony with all who need encouragement along the way.

Your praise will continually be upon my pen as I write of your loving ways.

Your divine love will light my path as I illuminate the darkness for your glory.

Write my LOVE Across the Sky

Write my love across the sky,

when you see tears of joy fall  from my eye.

With pens of joy, hope and light write my love for all to see.

My love is imperfect,

but the image it was made in is not.

Love is not if it is hidden within the heart.

Why must we hold divine truth within ourselves

due to pride, ego and “propriety”.

I will not hide Love within my heart,

though foolish I may seem,

so write my love across the sky for all to see.

GelGems (I love them) on train.

For Tia

No words or poem can console the loss of a loved one so fresh but I share this which I wrote for my mother who died of cancer and my wife’s aunt who committed suicide within a few months of each other. It took another year before I could write this. Let time be your teacher and friend and strength.

What will you see
     When your sight is lost

What will you feel
     Without feelings

How will I sound
    To your deafened ears

How will I hear
    What you're saying

Will you taste:
        My bitterness
        My anger
        My confusion
        My sadness

Will you understand;
     I cannot, right now
Will you smile at me;
     I cannot, right now

Would you watch me now;
     I could use that now

Could you teach me now;
     Would you show me how

When I think of you
     Will you touch me, friend
When I close my eyes
     Will you hug me then

In the dark of night
     Will you stop the cold
At the break of dawn
     Will you wake my soul

During quiet times
     Will you come and stay
When the dusk first falls
     You could light my way

You can count your days
     As I count my years
You can hold me tight
     As I count my tears

As the months go by
        And time presses on
You will see:
        My struggles
        My resolutions
        My perseverance
        My reckonings

When my step first slows
    You will be my cane
When I ache to move
    You will ease my pain
When my light falls dim
    You will lead me on
When my thoughts all fade
    You will bring me home

What will I see
    When my sight is lost
What will I feel
    Without feelings
How will you sound
    To my deafened ears
How will you hear
    What I'm saying

As you lift me up
       And I raise my head
We will feel:
       Our souls
       Our joy
       Our peace
       Our love

The Holiday Challenge!

The year end holidays,

When it all goes still,

Every one takes some rest,

From the fast paced life,

A moment of remembrance,

Of the year that is ending,

A moment of sheer pleasure,

With Christmas and New Years’ Eve,

Giving the joy of celebration.

If you would give me a chance,

To stay for ever after in a fixed time,

It would be this very time of year ending,

Where I would stay, clear of the competitions,

Away from the repercussions,

Just live in those holidays,

With stomach full with warming food,

Getting wrapped in blankets,

Lying around- seeing the celebration around.

These holidays I would say,

Are the one I like the best.

We attended a Pow Wow

Moving with the beat of the drum

After the medical excitement in the river last week I chose the activity this weekend.

I chose for us and the dog, to take a ride to Maine to attend a Pow Wow that was taking

place there.  This was taking place in Wells Maine along the Atlantic Ocean.  A few different

groups were there and they took turns on their drums while many danced for us to enjoy.

I will not fill this post with photos as they are already in a Blog at Living and Lovin, check

them out!

Have a great Sunday do something you will enjoy!
