Don’t pay any attention to the critics – don’t even ignore them. –Samuel Goldwyn
Just a quote, is it so?
What meaning it behold?
Does that hold any importance?
Or is it important because it is a quote?
Just a quote, is it so!?
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.” ~Marilyn Monroe (c/o 144East)
I recently watched the movie, The Misfits, with Monroe, Gable and Clift. What I have come to like about this movie is the behind the scenes drama that was unfolding on what was Gable’s and Monroe’s last movie as they died soon after. Knowing the drama during the movie lends a very bittersweet edge to the viewing when you know the personal strains invading the stars of the movie. I added this short video (excuse the cheesy music) and found the images of Marilyn touching knowing her inner pain and confusion.
Many of us, here, share our inner energies that seek explanation, release and soothing. With that in mind, I found Marilyn’s images particularly touching.

I had taken some macro photos of a fly pattern, while wet, to check on the colors under those conditions. Later, I took another shot of the same fly while it was dry. Or, almost dry. That delicate little drop out on the very tip of the pheasant tail fiber caught my eye. A small detail lost to my eye, but for the camera lens.
… the road to hell is the path of least resistance.
