My neighbor daily blows her driveway, won’t
allow a leaf, or in the winter, flake.
Go far away, she seems to say, and don’t
put in appearances again. They quake
when she, with blower and purpose come outside.
This must be easier than some old rake
that leans inside her spotless, clean garage.
The might and fury of her morning job
gets rid of all debris. This noise barrage
lets neighbors know that she is not a slob.
She tends to business with determined will
to clean her decks just like a sailor swabs.
