The A Train

We’re riding together but sit worlds apart.

The stockbroker, the mother, the hobo living in separate realities, yet riding in the same car.

electric eyes

electric eyes , they only see in darkness

when light shines , I feel with thought

rains come my eyes can’t focus

calm sky’s always what I sought

a moments sun drenches my being

then back to before , the way I was seeing

electric eyes they only see darkness

only to bring unwanted awareness
